Downloadable manuals: MyCanoe and MyDinghy. For the first time assembly, please allow 30 - 45 minutes. Once you understand the entire assembly, it should take 10 - 15 minutes. Folding it back to a case should take less than 10 minutes.

Ribs and gunwale caps might be a little hard to install the first time due to the curve shape of canoe and characteristics of the materials, but they were designed to be tight for best performance. Please assemble with care. Once the ribs and gunwale caps are in place and used a few times, they should fit better.

International customers are responsible for any applicable import fees and taxes. The fees are case by case and we are not able to provide detailed information for each country. Currently, MyCanoe is made in South Korea and each country sets its own import fees and taxes. We recommend you find out the tax information in your country before you place an order.

Warranty & Return Policy

MyCanoe comes with a 1-year warranty. The hull of MyCanoe is made from a proprietary polypropylene with a UV treatment and has been rated 20,000 folds. We suggest you treat your MyCanoe like a fiberglass boat, but don’t worry if you hit a rock... it’ll be fine!

MyCanoe warrants this product to be free from defects in material or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of its original ship date. If a problem occurs, please contact MyCanoe in a timely manner by email at support@oricanoe.com with photos and videos showing the defects. Any product that is covered by this warranty and that is found in the reasonable judgment of MyCanoe to be defective in materials or workmanship will be repaired or replaced at MyCanoe’s option. If replacement is necessary, obtain a Return Authorization Number and promptly ship the product, using postage prepaid, to MyCanoe, for inspection and warranty consideration to the return address that will be provided.  All covered repairs or replacement products will be made at no charge during the warranty period and within a reasonable period of time.

This warranty does NOT cover

Products used for commercial or rental purposes; normal wear and tear, including punctures, cuts and abrasions sustained in normal use; damage caused by accident, neglect, or misuse; damage caused by improper storage, maintenance, or handling; damage caused by extreme weather or environmental conditions, including white water conditions; products that have been structurally altered or modified; damage caused while the product is in possession of a freight carrier or party other than MyCanoe; cosmetic wear, abrasion, or damage caused by excessive UV exposure; and products determined to have been used for any activity other than an activity that is intended or customary for the product.

Activating your warranty

The warranty registration form should be completed within thirty days of original purchase or receipt of product to be activated. It is suggested that you keep your sales receipt should it be required in the future for proof of purchase.

Limitation and disclaimer of implied warranties

To the extent permitted by applicable laws:
MyCanoe does NOT make any implied warranty of merchantability as to any product or part, whether or not the product or part is covered by any express warranty herein;
MyCanoe does NOT make any implied warranty of fitness for a particular purpose, and there are no warranties that extend beyond the description on the face hereof;
 • In those jurisdictions where the implied warranties may not be disclaimed, any implied warranty is limited in duration to the duration of the express warranty described in the warranty statement. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.

No liability of incidental or consequential damages

The repair and replacement remedies described in this warranty are the owner’s sole and exclusive responsibilities. In no event shall Mycanoe be liable for any incidental, special, or consequential damages. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

To validate the warranty, you must register your MyCanoe within thirty days of receipt of your canoe or boat.

Purchased but not shipped: 
No fee.

Shipped but unused (within 30 days, MUST be brand new condition w/ all inner and outer packaging materials included):
10% restocking fee, customer pays shipping both ways. If returned item is not in the original condition (e.g., scratches, missing and/or damaged packaging materials, etc.), we will not issue a refund and customer is responsible for shipping costs to receive the item back to you.

Q. What is made of and how long will the MYCANOE last?

A. MYCANOE is made of a 5 mm double-layer custom polypropylene that is lightweight and extraordinarily strong. It is manufacturer rated for 20,000 fold cycles. We've tested in a various water/weather conditions and haven't yet found any issues. With proper care, a MYCANOE can last for years of paddling. Every component piece can be replaced in the event of breakage.

Q. Is the stabilizer kit required?

A. No. The stabilizers are optional for adding more stability for stand-up fishing or rough water.

Q. How do I care for MYCANOE?

A. We recommend treating your MYCANOE as you would a fiberglass, wood, or skin-on-frame canoe: don’t drag it or bump into sharp things, store out of direct sunlight, and rinse the canoe thoroughly with fresh water after each use.

Q. How stable is a MYCANOE?

A. The MYCANOE is quite stable and difficult to capsize. However, we recommend that inexperienced paddlers go with a companion, and don't attempt to use the MYCANOE in conditions beyond their skill level.

Q. Does the MYCANOE float?

A. Yes, the MYCANOE is buoyant and will float even if it capsizes. However, we recommend taking every safety precaution, including personal flotation devices and floating bags. Do NOT strap heavy gears to your canoe - you will lose both gears and canoe in case of an overturn!

Q. Will repeated folding weaken the hull?

A. The body of MYCANOE is manufacturer rated for 20,000 fold cycles - that's a lot of folds!

Q. Is MYCANOE dog friendly?

A. A lot of MYCANOE owners routinely paddle with their four-legged friends. MYCANOE is very sturdy and dog's claws won't hurt.

Q. Is MYCANOE compatible with a chair that has a back support?

A. Yes, see a picture below. This chair fits well with MyCanoe.


Q. Can I take MYCANOE on a plane?

A. Yes, MYCANOE can be checked as luggage, and the best way to protect MYCANOE during transport is to cover with a protective material (e.g. blanket).

Q. Can It Be Used For Fishing?

A. Yes. With minor modifications the MYCANOE can be outfitted with a rod holder. Another great choice for outfitting your MYCANOE is with one of RAM's mounts— RAM Mounts makes a Tough Claw, that works perfectly on the MYCANOE. Clamps down tight without drilling any holes, and you can then attach a rod holder, or cup holder,camera mount, fish finder, etc. The RAM Mount can then be paired with a YakAttack or RAM rod holder. We recommend a stabilizer kit for added stability when fishing.

Q. Can I stand in the canoe?

A. Yes. With the optional stabilizer kit, you can stand in and cast your fishing rod.

Q. Can I attach a trolling motor to the MyCanoe?

A. Yes. you can use our motor bracket. We recommend a small lightweight motor to properly protect the hull and gunwales from damage. Another option is SailboatsToGo.com. MyDinghy has a built-in inside panel and you need an optional motor plate for outside. Please see video here.

Q. Can I take the MYCANOE in salt water?

A. Salt water will not damage the MYCANOE. Just make sure to rinse the inside and outside of the hull, all joints, parts and accessories after each use. Dry before folding.

Q. What if I hit a rock?

A. Avoid rocks. However, if you do hit one, you and your MYCANOE should be fine. We’ve tested it on rocky beaches and even attempted to crack the hull with a hammer.

Q. What if I made a hole?

A. While the hull is extremely durable and unlikely to get a hole, if that happened, simply contact us for a free repair kit.

Q. What is the difference between Standard vs. Plus models?

A. On the Plus model, you can attach paddles for rowing and comes with a set of paddles. Once you purchase the Standard model, we are not able to add the oar locks.

Q. Can I store MYCANOE as assembled for an extended period?

A. Yes. MYCANOE can be stored either assembled or folded for months. Just avoid direct sun exposure and store in dry, cool storage space. 

Q. Can I setup sailing rig with MYCANOE?

A. Yes. As long as you can find correct hardware (clamps, support, hooks, etc.), MYCANOE should be fun with a light sailing set up. SailboatsToGo.com has a kit works well with MyCanoe. Watch video here.

Q. What are the buckles & straps on the inside of canoe for?

A. You need to buckle them to give a proper tension and shape of canoe. 

Q. Are there different colors to choose from?

A. No. MYCANOE currently comes with only one color - white w/ aqua blue.

Q. Does the paddle float?

A. Yes, the oars in MyDinghy are buoyant and will float.

Q. How do I attach stabilizers?

A. Inflate about 70% and attach it using the built-in buckles. Finish inflation and tighten the buckles.  

Q. My Canoe appears to be used when I opened package.

A. It is common to show a few minor scratches and marks. We inspect / test all of canoes before packing. During the test, minor scratches can happen.

Q. Can MyDinghy have 3 seats?

A. The boat has 3 cross bars so technically you can attach 3 seats. You must use the stabilizer for 3 people. This is the same for MyCanoe.

Q. Is it possible to kneel in the MyCanoe?

A. Yes, MyCanoe has enough space for you to kneel and paddle. See detailed reviews here.

Q. Are there carrying handles at the bow/stern and a yoke in the middle?

A. Yes, MyCanoe has handles at the bow and stern. It also has 4 ribs (cross bars), making it easy portaging.
